CDR 2011 Dates announced!

It's official! July 24-27th Coastal Dance Rage will be coming to Toronto for their summer intensive! GNAG dance will be looking to take 24 lucky dancers to this amazing dance experience!

Also, our dancers have been working hard at fundraising towards going to Coastal Dance Rage this Fall as well, which will take place on the weekend of October 1-2! Our goal is to have 75 keen GNAG dancers attending this convention! It is a truly phenomenal experience for each and everyone of them.

GNAG dance reminders!

A couple of GNAG dance reminders!

1) THIS THURSDAY, JANUARY 20TH!! - All dance classes are cancelled! It is in the brochure, but make sure to mark your calendars just in case! There will be no walk-over for dance students on this date!

Our first GNAG sleep away Dance Camp!!!

GNAG Dance is excited to announce a new opportunity for dancers this summer : 

COASTAL DANCE RAGE (CDR) SUMMER INTENSIVE 2011 IN TORONTO, ONTARIO!!!! 

When: 

 Sunday, July 24th to Thursday, July 28th (travel time inclusive)

          Who: 

Experienced dancers ages 8 - 17 years (if you are unsure if you qualify, please inquire with coordinator Kailena at kailena@gmail.com)

What:

• Each day, dancers will have the opportunity to take several dance workshops with other dancers from across North America 
• Workshops are lead by professional choreographers / teachers from around the world (many featured on So You Think You Can Dance!)
• Dancers will have a chance to perform at the faculty show.
• Dancers have a chance to be awarded scholarships!

Cost: $650 

Includes:

Transportation from the Glebe Community Centre to the hotel in Toronto and back
• Accommodations at Delta Meadowvale Resort and Convention Centre for 4 nights
• CDR tuition
• Meals

• Fun and chaperones (Kailena, Katie and Lauren)

Registration deadline is APRIL 1ST, 2011! You can fill out a registration form at the GCC and return it to the Glebe Community Centre no later than April 1, 2011. Please note, we require a minimum of 24 dancers in order to run this event so tell your friends.

Our Annual Enchanted Ball - A success!

Thank you to all our volunteers for spending their Sunday morning and afternoon transforming the Main Hall into  Candyland! The event was a huge success! Thank you as well to all of our princes and princesses in the community who participated, we hope you had a great time!

Happy New Year dancers and parents! Winter dance classes start up tomorrow, Monday, January 3rd! There are still spots available in a couple of our classes, including:

Preschool Dance on Mondays from 10:30-11:15am (only 2 spots left!)
Ballet for 11-14 years on Mondays from 5:10-6pm
Preschool Broadway Starts on Wednesday from 3-3:45pm (only 1 spot left!)
Jazz for 11-14 years on Tuesday from 5-6pm
Contemporary ballet for 8-10 years on friday from 4:10-5pm
Contemporary ballet for 11-14 years on friday from 5-6:16pm
Hip hop 11-14 years on Thursdays from 6-7pm (only 1 spot left!)
Highland 6-10 years on Mondays from 4:10-5:10pm
Intensive 1, 2 and 3 (Saturdays)
